Wedmesday, 23rd April 08 The latest best-selling Times Sudoku Book is now out with 150 new Sudoku puzzles ranging from Mild (easy) to Super Fiendish (very, very hard). You can win one of two copies with our latest Samurai Sudoku competition or buy one at Amazon. Monday, 24th March 08 The Times have launched our newest addition to the Sudoku family: mini Sudoku – a 3×2 version of the puzzle that is generally much quicker to complete. These puzzles should become a regular feature in the Times2 on weekdays and Books section on Saturdays. We'll be adding a new Sudoku book for all full members with a wider range of puzzles soon, from mini Sudoku to Killer Sudoku. Sunday, 16th September 07 Today we attended The Times UK National Sudoku Championship finals in London where 163 people battled to complete their puzzles as quickly as possible. The first hour long rounds saw many people fail to complete the three puzzles, with the fastest eight going through to the quarter finals. We watched as the finalists appeared to effortlessly complete their Super Fiendish Sudoku, requiring some tricky solving techniques, in around ten minutes. This championship was challenging to all who attended, the super fiendish Sudoku puzzles made it a formidable contest to all who travelled to London to partake. Saturday, 17th February 07 We now have regular competitions to win Sudoku books produced for The Times. All members are welcome to submit their solution to our challenging Samurai Sudoku for a chance to win. Since the start of this year, we are now the sole provider of Sudoku, Samurai Sudoku, Godoku and Killer Sudoku for The Times and Sunday Times newspapers. Soon, we will have an interactive Killer Sudoku solver (as promised in our books) and a significant presence on the Times Online website with daily interactive Sudoku and competitions. Our first 3 Sudoku books produced for The Times newspaperWednesday, 18th October 06 Our first batch of Sudoku books for The Times have arrived this month. The first ever Samurai Sudoku book from the Times covers some of the difficulties that you will not find in the newspaper, including a final mind-boggler at number 100 (try completing it within 6 hours!). In Sudoku 6, you will find some super hard Sudoku, with the entire book gradually increasing in difficulty. To play Samurai you need to complete the whole grid so that each of the five Sudokus have unique digits for every row, column and three-by-three box. Unlike invalid Samurai puzzles, you will always need to solve the puzzle as a whole, you cannot just solve each Sudoku individually.

Please don't try solving the Sudoku without the initial clues given. The initial puzzle is invalid and the required guesses will not give an unique solution.
